Where Algorithms Become Arguments and Code Builds Consensus About the Event AI Sansad is a two-day flagship technical competition organized by the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning , Bharati Vidyapeeth's College of Engineering, Delhi. The event uniquely combines hands-on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning innovation with structured parliamentary debate, technical argumentation, and real-time decision-making. Participants will work in teams to develop AI/ML-based solutions, demonstrate their technical capabilities, and defend their approaches through structured discussions, questioning, rebuttals, and negotiation. Unlike traditional hackathons, AI संसद challenges participants not only to build a solution but also to justify their technical decisions, critically evaluate competing ideas, and work toward collective consensus. Why Participate? AI संसद offers participants an opportunity to: Apply AI/ML knowledge to practical technical challenges. Develop and demonstrate innovative machine learning models. Improve communication and presentation skills. Gain experience in technical argumentation and structured debate. Strengthen teamwork, leadership, negotiation, and critical thinking. Experience a unique competition that connects technological innovation with parliamentary-style decision-making.

Round 1: Online Abstract & Solution Submission The competition begins with an online preliminary round in which registered teams will be randomly assigned an AI/ML-based problem statement. The problem statements will be sent to team leaders via email after 25 Oct'26 Each team must submit a hackathon-style presentation containing: Problem Statement Abstract & Proposed Solution Technical Approach Expected Implementation Impact &
Feasibility Selection: Teams will be shortlisted for the offline stage, with one team selected per problem statement.
Round 2: AI/ML Model Challenge (Model Training Round) Round 2 will held on 3 November 2026 in campus (offline). The shortlisted teams will participate in a hands-on AI/ML model development challenge. Teams will work with the same dataset and comparable problem context within their respective sub-domains, providing a consistent basis for technical evaluation.
Evaluation Criteria: Model Accuracy & Efficiency — 50% Technical Knowledge — 25% Presentation & Communication — 25% A panel of four judges will evaluate the participants.

Selection: Top teams will advance to the parliamentary debate, with one finalist selected from each sub-domain.
Round 3: AI संसद Parliamentary Debate (MUN Round) Round 3 will held on 4 November 2026 (offline) The top teams will participate in a structured parliamentary debate, representing their respective AI/ML sub-domains under the unified super-domain theme. Participants will defend the technical solutions developed during Day 1 through logical argumentation, technical questioning, rebuttals, and real-time negotiation. Unlike conventional Model United Nations conferences, no country or stakeholder roles will be assigned. Instead, teams will engage directly in technical discussions, challenge competing perspectives, and defend their proposed solutions.Participants may reference their Day 1 models as supporting resources during the debate. Through successive deliberations, teams will evaluate technical approaches, challenge assumptions, respond to opposing arguments, and work collaboratively toward a joint resolution.
Skills Evaluated: Critical Thinking Technical Reasoning Logical Argumentation Effective Communication Adaptability Negotiation Real-Time Decision-Making Consensus-Building The round concludes with the final deliberations, evaluations, and recognition of outstanding performances. Participation Guidelines Participation is team-based, with 3–4 members per team. Teams must register through Unstop within the registration window. Participants must complete the online abstract and solution submission to be considered for shortlisting. Shortlisted teams must attend the offline AI/ML Model Challenge on 3 November 2026. Only the top-performing team from each sub-domain will advance to the parliamentary debate on 4 November 2026. Participants must demonstrate technical understanding and be prepared to defend their proposed AI/ML solutions. Delegates must follow the structured speaking and deliberation procedures communicated by the organizing committee.
