Welcome to AlgOlympia 2026 , a premier national ideation and algorithmic design hackathon hosted by the School of CSE, Nalanda Chandigarh University . This is a two-day showdown where teams don't just build, they adapt, pivot, and survive under pressure. Most competitions stop at "build something and present it." AlgOlympia goes further: it tests whether what you built can actually hold up when the ground shifts under it. Teams aren't just judged on what they create; they're judged on how well they can change it, extend it, and defend it when the unexpected hits. That's what sets us apart: live, on the spot challenges thrown at teams mid-competition, things like flipping a website to dark mode, bolting on a chatbot, or fixing a critical bug in record time. It's not a scripted demo. It's a genuine test of adaptability, speed, and problem-solving under pressure. Competition Tracks & Problem Domains Rise of the Agents: Agentic AI & Autonomous Systems TrustChain: Blockchain, Web3 & Digital Trust Fortress Protocol: Cybersecurity, Privacy & Digital Resilience Money 2.0: Financial Technology & Digital Economy Codecure: AI for Healthcare & Digital Wellbeing Planet Reboot: Climate Tech & Environmental Sustainability Structure & Rounds Round 1: Build & Review (Day 1) Teams work on their chosen theme, developing a functional project from scratch. Submissions are evaluated by a panel of judges based on innovation, execution, and impact. Round 2: Adaptive Challenge Round (Day 2) Teams take on surprise live tasks, real time feature additions and modifications to their existing projects (think dark mode integration, chatbot implementation, and more), to test adaptability and technical depth under pressure. Responses are judged on speed of implementation, correctness, and how cleanly the change is integrated into the existing project. Eligibility & Team Format Team Size: 2 - 4 members per team . Open To: Undergraduate, postgraduate, and corporate tech enthusiasts who love solving structural problems with logical algorithms. Evaluation Criteria Submissions will be rigorously evaluated based on: Innovation: Novelty and depth of the logical approach. Technical Rigor: Proper selection of data structures, graph concepts, or optimization models. Efficiency: Theoretical Time and Space complexity considerations. Impact & Feasibility: How effectively the design solves the domain-specific challenge. Why Participate?
