About the Event AR/VR Challenge Arena is an immersive, interactive, and competitive two-day event hosted at RV University, Bangalore as part of Kalpavikas 2.0 . Designed to introduce participants to the world of Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Extended Reality (XR), this event blends hands-on learning with a creative project challenge. Participants will work in teams to learn the fundamentals of the technology and then apply their new skills to complete a unique AR/VR project. No prior AR/VR or programming experience is required. Industry experts will teach you everything you need to know from the absolute basics on the first day, guiding all participants through the tools and safe equipment operation. Rewards & Prizes

Eligibility Student Status: Open to all Undergraduate and Postgraduate students across all disciplines (Engineering, Management, Arts, Commerce, Science, Law, Medical, etc.).
Team Composition: Participation is strictly team-based (2 to 4 members per team). Inter-college teams are encouraged.
Prerequisites: No prior AR/VR or coding background needed. Participants must be willing to learn and follow safety guidelines provided by the experts and coordinators.
Accessibility: Participants should inform organizers in advance of any accessibility requirements relevant to VR participation. Event Format & Schedule The event will be conducted offline at Venue F101, RV University over two action-packed days: Day 1 – Masterclass & Build (Workshop &
Task Assignment): Industry experts will teach you the fundamentals of AR/VR from scratch. Absolutely no prior experience is needed! Teams will get hands-on training from professionals to understand the technology, learn the software tools, and use the hardware safely. Following the workshop, teams will be assigned a specific task/project to develop. Day 2 – Submit &
Showcase (Competition Day): Teams will finalize and submit the projects they were assigned on Day 1. Projects will be presented to and evaluated by our judges, and the team with the best overall project will win the competition! (Exact project details, submission deadlines, and schedule timings will be briefed on-site). Judging Criteria Projects will be evaluated on: Successful completion of the assigned task/project within given time. Creativity and innovation of the solution Technical implementation (applying what was taught by the experts on Day 1) Overall presentation and functionality Adherence to event rules and instructions All decisions made by event coordinators and judges are final and binding. Guidelines Reporting: Teams must report to Venue F101 at least 15 minutes prior to their assigned slot on both days.
Equipment Handling: Handle all VR headsets, controllers, computers, and hardware with extreme care. Misuse or intentional damage will result in immediate disqualification and liability.
Fair Play: Any form of plagiarism, cheating, misconduct, or intentional interference with other teams will lead to instant disqualification.
Organizer Authority: Event managers reserve the right to alter the project scope, formats, or timings based on equipment availability and participant turnout. Health & VR Safety Instructions Remove loose accessories, glasses (if incompatible with headset adjustment), or jewelry that could interfere with VR gear. Follow all physical safety boundary markers while inside the VR play area.
Participant Wellness: If you experience dizziness, nausea, disorientation, or discomfort at any point during VR use, inform a coordinator immediately and pause participation.
