BioHacks 2026 is a two-day hackathon designed to shorten time to diagnosis, enable objective monitoring, and predict the course of neurological conditions. Students from health sciences, engineering, business, and beyond team up around one patient-centred neurological case. No prior experience is required.
The event follows a structured format: * Receive the case: The full case is revealed at the opening ceremony. * Build your solution: Teams work with mentors across the two days to design their approach. * Prepare your pitch: Participants turn their ideas into clear, evidence-backed proposals. * Pitch to the judges: Teams present their solutions to judges from sponsors and partners at the closing ceremony.
Teams choose from three tracks while designing for the same neurological patient case: * Treating the underlying disease process and delivering treatments to the cells that need them. * Helping the patient continue the activities that matter to them as their abilities change.
