BrandCanvas 2026 is a national-level online branding and design competition presented by Omnia Creative and powered by Unstop, that challenges creative minds to transform fictional business ideas into compelling and memorable brands. Every participant will receive a detailed client brief for a mock startup or business, complete with its logo, industry, target audience, products or services, business objectives, and brand personality. Your challenge is to think like a branding consultant and develop a comprehensive brand strategy and identity around the given brief. From creating a cohesive visual identity and marketing collateral to defining the brand story and positioning, you'll showcase your creativity, strategic thinking, and presentation skills through a professionally designed 8-slide presentation deck . Competition Format Mode: Online Participation: Individual Rounds: Single Round Submission Format: Presentation Deck (PDF) Participants will choose one of the provided client briefs and submit their complete branding solution in the prescribed presentation format. What You'll Build Participants will create a complete branding solution that may include: Brand Identity Brand Guidelines Brand Story & Positioning Color Palette & Typography Product Catalogue Marketing Creatives Social Media Assets Promotional Materials Merchandise & Packaging Mockups Additional brand applications Note: Participants are not required to design the logo . The logo and essential brand information will already be provided as part of the selected client brief. Submission Requirements Each participant must submit one Presentation Deck (PDF) consisting of exactly 8 slides . The presentation should effectively communicate the complete branding solution and demonstrate creativity, visual consistency, and strategic thinking. The competition is open to students, designers, marketers, branding enthusiasts, and creative professionals from all disciplines who are passionate about building impactful brands. Rules The competition consists of a single submission round . Participants must select only one of the provided client briefs. The mock startup/business client briefs will be released only after the competition round officially begins. Each client brief will include the startup's/business's overview, industry, products or services, target audience, business objectives, brand personality, official logo , and other relevant details required for the competition. Participants are not required to design or modify the provided logo . The branding solution should be developed around the identity and information provided in the selected client brief. The submission must be an original piece of work created during the competition period. Plagiarism, unauthorized use of copyrighted material, or copying another participant's work will result in immediate disqualification. Submission Guidelines Participants must submit one presentation deck in PDF format . The presentation must contain exactly 8 slides . The presentation should follow the prescribed slide structure shared in the event guidelines. Late submissions will not be accepted. Once submitted, entries cannot be modified or replaced. Use of AI Tools AI-powered design and productivity tools (such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Adobe Firefly, Canva AI, etc.) are permitted. Participants should disclose the use of AI tools, if any, in the final slide of their presentation. The overall creative direction and final submission must reflect the participant's own understanding and design decisions. Code of Conduct Participants are expected to maintain professionalism throughout the competition. Any attempt to manipulate the evaluation process or violate the competition rules may result in disqualification. The organizers reserve the right to reject any submission that is incomplete, offensive, misleading, or violates applicable laws or intellectual property rights.
