The consulting club at BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus, BHCG, is back with its flagship business plan competition, Break The Case, this time with a prize pool of over 2.8 lakhs. As part of ATMoS ’26, BITS Hyderabad’s annual techno-management fest, this competition brings together the brightest minds across the country to solve pressing real-world business challenges. Teams will compete in three rounds as part of this event. An elimination quiz about business acumen and strategies makes up the first round. Teams submit a business plan under strict guidelines based on a predetermined theme in the second round. The chosen teams will also give the judge and other teams a presentation of their business plan during the final offline round. Following is the structure of the case competition:
Round 1: Quiz on
Unstop (Elimination Round): Only the team leader will be able to attempt the quiz, and the quiz must be submitted by the team leader within the allotted time frame. The decision of the event's organizers shall be final and binding. It will have 20 questions to be answered in 20 minutes.
Round 2: Business Plan
Submission (Elimination Round): Submit a business plan by the theme and submission criteria that will be listed on the platform. Criteria and Instructions will be uploaded to the Unstop platform. Late submissions are not acceptable. Participating teams are required to submit their business plans in the standardized PPT format. The submission must be submitted via the Unstop platform. This is an elimination round, and the remaining teams will be narrowed down for the third round. The judge’s and organizers' decisions shall be final and binding.
Instructions for Submission: Participants are required to submit an 8–10 slide business deck (excluding the title/intro and appendix slides) addressing the case study provided. Evaluation criteria includes structure, analysis, uniqueness of the solution, creativity and presentation skills. You are free to make reasonable assumptions about the company, market, technology, or regulations but ensure these are clearly stated on the relevant slides or in footnotes. We expect you to justify the rationale behind any assumptions made, especially if they shape your strategic choices or impact your recommended solution. Make sure your presentation flows logically, is visually crisp, and focuses on actionable recommendations backed by strong business reasoning. Avoid generic frameworks; tailor your solution to the unique context of the case.
Round 3: Offline Presentation
Round (Final Round): On the day of the event, shortlisted teams will pitch their business plan to a judge and other teams. The judges will evaluate the teams based on the criteria they determine. Based on the judges' total scores, the winning teams will be determined and will have the opportunity to win exciting prizes. The judges' and organizers' decisions shall be final and binding.
