Stages and Timelines Online Round – On Unstop The first round will be an online finance quiz designed to test participants’ financial knowledge, market awareness, analytical ability, and decision-making under pressure.
Format: The quiz consists of 30 questions covering finance, financial markets, investments, risk and return, economics, and financial aptitude. Teams must consist of 3 members, and the quiz is to be attempted collectively as a team. The quiz will be conducted within a fixed time window on Unstop, with the exact timing to be announced. Teams will be ranked based on the number of correct answers, with accuracy and time taken considered as tiebreakers. The Top 10 teams will qualify for the Presentation Round. Presentation Round – Offline – NMIMS Indore The second round will challenge shortlisted teams to analyse a finance/investment-related problem and present a strategic solution before the judging panel.
Format: The Presentation Round is open only to the Top 10 teams qualifying from the Online Round. Teams will retain the same 3 members throughout the competition. Teams will be provided with a finance/investment-related topic or problem statement. Teams will prepare and present their solution through a PPT before the judging panel, followed by a short Q&A. Evaluation will be based on financial understanding, quality of analysis, strategic thinking, presentation, problem-solving ability, and teamwork. The Top 5 teams will qualify for the Budget Battle Grand Finale. Budget Battle – Grand Finale – 19 September 2026 – NMIMS Indore The final round will bring the shortlisted teams into a dynamic investment simulation where they must allocate, manage, and restructure a virtual portfolio as market conditions evolve.
Format: The Grand Finale is open only to the Top 5 teams qualifying from the Presentation Round. Each team will begin with a virtual corpus of ₹50,00,000. Teams must allocate capital across Savings, Real Estate, Stock Market, and Commodities, subject to minimum allocation requirements. The simulation will consist of 30 Action Cards representing changing market situations and their impact on investments. Restructuring will be permitted only during designated restructuring rounds. Each restructuring will cost ₹50,000. Movement of funds between asset classes will attract a 10% tax on the transferred amount. The team with the highest verified final portfolio value will be declared the winner. General Guidelines Only teams qualifying from one round will be eligible to participate in the subsequent round. Teams must retain the same 3 members throughout the competition. Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel and accommodation, while food arrangements for the Offline Round will be communicated by the organisers. The total pool prize for the competition is ₹30,000. Any malpractice, impersonation, unfair assistance, or manipulation of records may result in disqualification. The decision of the organising committee and judging panel will be final and binding in all matters concerning the competition.
