BULL RUN Overview Bull Run is a live trading simulation designed to introduce participants to the dynamics of the Forex and Indian Stock Markets. Participants will receive a fixed amount of virtual trading capital and compete by executing trades based on market movements, price analysis, and strategic decision-making. The event will simulate real-world trading conditions, allowing participants to trade selected currency pairs, Indian equities, or other instruments specified by the organizers. Participants must manage their capital carefully while using leverage, setting stop-loss and take-profit levels, and controlling the risk associated with every trade. The competition focuses on trading discipline, technical analysis, risk-to-reward ratios, capital allocation, and decision-making under market uncertainty. The participant who achieves the highest final account equity while following all trading and risk-management rules will emerge as the winner. Objectives Introduce students to the fundamentals of Forex and Indian stock market trading. Provide practical exposure to order execution, price movements, and market analysis. Demonstrate the role of leverage, margin, stop-loss orders, and risk management in trading. Encourage analytical thinking, strategic planning, and disciplined decision-making. Help participants understand capital preservation and the relationship between risk and reward. Promote interest in quantitative finance, trading strategies, and financial markets among students from all disciplines. Rules and Regulations 1. Starting Capital and Trading Instruments Every registered participant will receive the same amount of virtual trading capital, as announced by the organizers before the event. Participants may trade only the instruments approved for the competition, such as selected Forex currency pairs or Indian equities. The event will operate entirely using virtual funds. No real-money deposits, investments, or transactions will be involved. Trading prices and market data will be provided through the platform or simulation mechanism specified by the organizers. 2. Leverage and Margin Participants will be permitted to use leverage up to the maximum limit announced by the organizers. Leverage increases exposure relative to available capital and can magnify both profits and losses. Participants must maintain sufficient margin for their open positions. Positions that breach the simulation's margin requirements may be automatically reduced or closed. The leverage limit may differ between Forex instruments and Indian equities, depending on the trading rules established for the event. 3. Stop-Loss and Take-Profit Every trade must have a predefined stop-loss level to limit potential losses. Participants may also set take-profit levels to secure gains when the market reaches a specified price. Stop-loss levels must be entered when the position is opened and must comply with the minimum distance or risk limits specified by the organizers. Moving a stop-loss farther away to increase the original risk will not be permitted if the simulation rules prohibit it. Stop-loss execution will follow the simulation platform's rules. In live markets, stop-loss orders may execute at a different price during gaps or periods of high volatility. 4. Capital Risk Management Participants must follow the maximum risk-per-trade limit announced before the competition. The recommended risk limit is 1–2% of current account equity per trade , unless the organizers specify a stricter limit. Participants must not exceed the maximum permitted aggregate exposure across their open positions. Excessive leverage, uncontrolled position sizing, and deliberate attempts to bypass risk limits are prohibited. The organizers may impose a maximum daily loss limit. Once this limit is reached, the participant may be required to stop trading for the remainder of the session. Risk will be calculated using the entry price, stop-loss price, position size, and applicable contract specifications. 5. Trading Conduct Participants may open, close, or modify positions during the designated trading period, subject to the event rules. All orders and completed trades must be recorded through the official simulation platform or the mechanism provided by the organizers. Participants must use their own analysis and may use only the information and tools permitted by the organizers. Collusion, impersonation, multiple registrations, manipulation of the simulation, unauthorized access, or interference with other participants' accounts is prohibited. Participants must not exploit technical errors or attempt to manipulate prices or settlement results. 6. Final Settlement and Winner Declaration Trading will stop at the time announced by the organizers. All open positions will be settled according to the platform's predefined closing-price and valuation rules. Final account equity will include the starting capital, realized profit or loss, and unrealized profit or lo
