Accommodation and Meals: Registration for the techFEST’26 package is compulsory for accommodation and other perks, while participation in individual events is free*. About the Event Circuit Craft is a two-round electronics competition designed to test participants' theoretical knowledge as well as their practical circuit-design and troubleshooting skills. The event covers analog electronics, digital logic, and basic circuit theory, followed by a hands-on circuit implementation challenge. Participants are expected to demonstrate accuracy, speed, systematic debugging, and practical understanding of electronic circuits. Objective To test fundamental knowledge of analog and digital electronics. To evaluate participants' ability to interpret circuit schematics. To develop practical circuit-design and troubleshooting skills. To test systematic debugging and problem-solving under time constraints. To provide hands-on exposure to electronic circuits and simulation tools. Problem Statement The event consists of two sequential rounds. In the first round, participants solve questions based on analog circuits, digital electronics, and circuit theory. Shortlisted participants then receive circuit schematics and must implement and verify the assigned circuit using either physical breadboard components or approved circuit simulation software, depending on the event setup. The circuit may involve amplifiers, waveform generators, combinational logic, or sequential circuits. Event Structure Round 1 —
Screening: QUIZ A written quiz consisting of approximately 15 MCQ and short-answer questions covering analog electronics, digital electronics, and basic circuit theory.
Duration: 20 minutes. Only the top 50% of participants/teams or the specified number will qualify for Round 2. Round 2 — Circuit Design & Debugging Qualified participants will be provided with a circuit schematic/problem and will have to implement and troubleshoot it. The circuit may be built using a breadboard and discrete components/ICs or implemented using approved circuit simulation software such as Proteus, Multisim, or LTspice. Rules and Regulations Teams may consist of 1–2 members. Participants must carry a valid student ID. Round 1 will be conducted in offline mode. No internet access will be permitted during the competition. Circuits must be designed and implemented from scratch during the event. Pre-built circuits or pre-assembled modules are not allowed. For hardware implementation, circuits must operate at low voltage (≤12V). Participants must handle all components and equipment responsibly. If simulation software is used, only the software/environment specified by the organizers will be permitted. Any form of plagiarism, use of pre-built solutions, or violation of competition rules may result in disqualification. Misbehavior may result in disqualification, coordinators' decision will be final.
