Hacksphere 2026 is the premier international-scale hackathon of Computer Science Atmosphere (COMPSPHERE), organized by the President University Faculty Association Computer Science. This year, the challenge invites visionary minds to explore the "Web3 Frontier," focusing on building decentralized solutions that leverage blockchain, advanced data security, and transparent architectures to solve real-world industrial problems.
The competition follows a Two-Phase Hybrid format: * Phase 1 (The Filtering): A 100% conceptual online phase where teams submit a strategic Proposal Idea. * Phase 2 (The Execution): The elite Top 30 teams advance to a high-intensity 24-hour coding marathon, held either on-site at President University or virtually for international participants.
Participation Requirements Teams must consist of exactly 3 members. Participants can register under one of three categories: College Student, High School Student, or International Student. To participate, teams must download the Official Hacksphere 2026 Guidebook and submit a Proposal Idea Document in PDF format (max 10MB) using the mandatory template before the deadline on September 18, 2026.
What to Build Participants are challenged to build a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) addressing a specific industry problem using Web3 foundations such as blockchain, smart contracts, or decentralized storage. Solutions can be web-based, mobile, or platform-integrated. Optional stacks like AI or IoT are encouraged, provided the core Web3 features remain functional.
Prizes The event awards several categories, including Grand Prize, 1st and 2nd Runner Up, Public's Favourite (based on votes), Best Pitching, Best Innovative Web3, and Best High School.
Judging Criteria * Online Phase: Evaluated on Problem Relevance & Solution Fit (25%), Technical Architecture & Feasibility (20%), Innovation & Value Proposition (30%), Market & Impact Viability (15%), and Document Clarity & Structure (10%). * Offline Phase: Evaluated on Functional Project & Live Demo (35%), Problem-Solution Fit & Public Impact (30%), Creative Tech-Implementation (20%), and Pitching & Q&A Defense (15%).
