About the Competition: Presented by Goonj, the Dramatics Club of IIM Bangalore & VENIX 2026, CurtainCall is not just a competition—Welcome to the Theatre Business Case Competition! This event invites participants to step into the shoes of theatre producers and turnaround strategists, tackling the real-world tension between live stage performance and the age of streaming. Compete to pitch the boldest, most viable strategy for reviving live theatre — audience, actors, and revenue — before a panel of judges, and win top prizes, expert feedback, and bragging rights as the sharpest minds on and off the stage. Round 1: Online Quiz Get ready for a fast-paced online quiz that will assess your knowledge related to Music, Entertainment, Literature, and Art. Sharpen your pencils for 15 multiple-choice (or subjective) questions covering a variety of topics in the film, cinema, and entertainment industry. Round 2: Case Submission Brace yourselves for a real-world challenge! We'll provide you with a compelling case study that delves into a current business problem faced by a company. Here's where your strategic thinking comes into play. You'll need to analyze the case, develop creative and practical solutions, and present your findings in a clear and concise way. Prepare a presentation deck (maximum 5 slides excluding title slide) outlining your proposed solution. You can also include up to 3 additional slides or Excel spreadsheets to showcase your data and visualizations (optional). Only the team leader needs to submit your team's masterpiece on the designated online platform (details to be announced soon). Remember, the top teams will progress to the final round, so make sure your solution is a knockout! Round 3: On-Campus Presentation Lights, camera, ACTION! The top teams from Round 2 will battle it out in the final round, held live on campus at IIM Bangalore. This is your chance to shine under the spotlight!
