DOOM: THE BREACH is a competitive cybersecurity challenge where participants step into real-world security scenarios and put their technical and analytical skills to the test. Teams will be challenged to analyse systems, identify vulnerabilities, exploit weaknesses, decrypt information, and investigate digital evidence to uncover hidden flags. With a mix of Jeopardy-style challenges, Docker-based tasks, advanced attack scenarios, and system emulation, the event is designed to test not just cybersecurity knowledge, but also problem-solving, strategic thinking, speed, and technical expertise. Whether you're experienced in cybersecurity or looking to challenge your practical skills,
DOOM: THE BREACH puts you in an environment where every flag matters and every decision can change the outcome.
Event Structure: Round 1 —
Jeopardy Style: The competition begins with a Jeopardy-style cybersecurity challenge featuring questions across multiple cybersecurity domains. Participants can choose challenges based on different categories and difficulty levels, earning flags and points for successfully completing them. This round tests your breadth of cybersecurity knowledge, problem-solving speed, and ability to make strategic decisions when choosing challenges. Round 2 — Docker Challenge |
Elimination Round: Get hands-on with containers in this Docker-based challenge. Participants will encounter beginner-friendly tasks involving basic Docker operations, along with selected advanced modifications designed to test their understanding of containerized environments. This round evaluates foundational containerization knowledge, Docker proficiency, and practical problem-solving skills. Round 3 — Advanced Attack &
System Emulation: The final stage takes the challenge to the next level. Participants will operate within a complete system emulation environment, facing advanced security scenarios that require them to identify vulnerabilities, navigate complex systems, and execute effective strategies. The round combines offensive and defensive cybersecurity skills, requiring teams to attack target systems while simultaneously defending their own infrastructure. Expect challenges that test technical expertise, strategic thinking, incident response, analytical ability, and overall cybersecurity capabilities. Who Can Participate?
