DubHacks '26 is the largest collegiate hackathon in the Pacific Northwest, bringing together over 1,000 students to build solutions to problems they are passionate about. Since its founding in 2014, DubHacks has grown from a small campus event into a leading student-run tech and entrepreneurship organization. The event spans 36 hours (2 days) and features workshops, fun activities, cool swag, and mentorship from approximately 100 industry professionals.
While many participants come from computer science backgrounds, DubHacks attracts a highly diverse group of students across disciplines, including Design, Business, Engineering, and more. The hackathon is beginner-friendly, offering a wide range of tracks for different interests and experience levels. A team formation event is hosted to help participants meet others with complementary skills and build well-rounded teams.
Sponsors often provide resources such as PCs, VR headsets, and API credits, while also hosting workshops and providing mentorship to help students effectively build with their technologies. There is strong interest in areas like AI/ML, cloud computing, and other emerging technologies. Popular prizes include high-value, practical, and tech-related items such as AirPods, headphones, speakers, iPads, and gaming consoles like the Nintendo Switch.
Many teams continue developing their ideas beyond the weekend through DubHacks Next, a startup incubator program that provides funding, mentorship, and ongoing support to help turn hackathon projects into real ventures.
