The FlagOS Open Computing Global Challenge is a multi-season, comprehensive competition jointly hosted by the FlagOS Community and the IEEE. The event encourages developers to engage in creative practice and innovative exploration based on the unified AI system software stack FlagOS, aiming to enhance AI developer capabilities and promote the vigorous development of the open computing ecosystem.
Season 2 officially runs from July to December 2026. It is co-hosted by the FlagOS Community, BAAI, and IEEE, with leading model provider OpenBMB and the state-of-the-art inference framework SGLang as co-organizers. This season focuses on two core tracks designed to deeply optimize large model performance and operational efficiency:
Track 1: Performance Optimization of SGLang Framework Operators on Multiple Chips Focusing on low-level operator implementation and cross-platform optimization, this track involves exclusive cooperation with the SGLang inference framework. Participants compete on correctness and performance for more than 200 commonly used operators across multiple AI chips, achieving efficient migration and ultimate optimization.
Track 2: Inference Throughput Performance Optimization for MiniCPM5-2B This track aims to enable participants to perform full-stack optimization of inference throughput for the MiniCPM5-2B model based on the FlagOS system software stack. Competitors focus on end-to-end performance to solve the problem of efficient large model deployment.
Eligibility and Participation All individuals or teams are welcome to register, with no restrictions on nationality, age, or occupation. Participants may compete individually or as a team (maximum of 5 members per team). Each individual or team may only hold one participant identity throughout the competition period. Submissions must be original work created by the participant, and all content must comply with international standards and public order.
Prizes Total prize pools include $5,925 for Track 1 (featuring Full-Scope Conquest Awards, Breakthrough Achievement Awards, and an Extreme Performance Award) and $9,000 for Track 2 (First Prize: $4,500, Second Prize: $3,000, Third Prize: $1,500).
