Event Description: Full throttle is an elite RC racing championship designed to bridge theoretical engineering dynamics with track performance. Teams will build, tune, and drive custom or modified electric RC vehicles on a 300-meter F1-inspired circuit.
Date of the Event: 21st November
Registration Fee: ₹250- per person
Registration Process: Participants will have to register on the official Saturnalia registration platform before the deadline mentioned on the platform. Participation may be subject to shortlisting in case of an overwhelming response. Only shortlisted participants, if applicable, will be notified about the further process. Participants must provide the required details and complete all necessary registration formalities within the specified deadline. Participation is exclusively open to college students possessing valid college ID cards for the current academic year. Participants must carry their valid college ID card during the event. The registration fee, if applicable, will be communicated through the official registration platform.
Rules & Regulations: Who is eligible? Students with basic electronics knowledge and familiarity with circuit simulation software. Soldering experience is recommended but not mandatory. Teams of 3 to 5 members.
Performance Guidelines: Round 1 – Electronics
Quiz (20 min): Objective questions on electronics fundamentals. Round 2 – Tinkercad
Simulation (50 min): Design and simulate a circuit for the problem statement, and spot any deliberate discrepancy in it. Round 3 – Physical
Build (70 min): Build the circuit physically. Teams may refer to their Round 2 design. All components, tools and software are provided. Every member should be able to explain the design. Follow all soldering and safety instructions. Unsafe conduct, misuse of equipment or unfair means may lead to disqualification.
Round 1: Score is the number of correct answers.
Round 2: Circuit correctness (30%), optimality (20%), problem understanding (20%), explanation (15%), discrepancy recognition (15%).
Round 3: Functionality (40%), problem compliance (20%), build quality (15%), reliability (10%), troubleshooting (10%), time management (5%).
Results: A panel of judges will declare the results soon after the competition ends.
