Overview: FUSION 2026 is a two-round innovation and technology hackathon where participants transform ideas into practical solutions for real-world challenges. Round 1 — Online
Idea Submission: In Round 1, teams will select one of the following problem statements and submit their proposed solution in a
PPT: PS01 — Digital Reporting and Resolution System for Public
Infrastructure Damage: Develop a digital solution that enables citizens to report infrastructure issues such as potholes, damaged roads, broken streetlights, and other public infrastructure problems, while enabling authorities to efficiently track and resolve them. PS02 — Career Path Clarity and Realistic Exposure
System for Students: Develop a platform that helps students understand suitable career paths through personalized guidance, skill assessment, real-world industry exposure, and informed career planning. PS03 — Formal Integration System for Informal Waste Collectors into the Recycling
Value Chain: Develop a technology-driven system to connect and formally integrate informal waste collectors with households, recyclers, and waste-management organizations, improving their access, efficiency, and participation in the recycling ecosystem. Teams must prepare their solution using the official FUSION 2026 PPT template and submit it within the specified deadline. Teams qualifying for Round 2 will proceed to the development phase. Non-qualified teams will receive a ₹700 registration fee refund, subject to the applicable terms and conditions. Round 2 —
Build & Develop: New problem statements will be released across six domains: Geo AI FinTech Healthcare Cybersecurity / Blockchain IoT Space Tech Qualified teams will select one problem statement and develop their solution. Indian teams will participate offline at the FUSION 2026 venue, while international teams will have the option to participate and present online.
Final Round: The Top 25 teams from Round 2 will qualify for the final presentation. Winners will be selected based on innovation, technical implementation, feasibility, scalability, and real-world impact.

Team Composition & Eligibility: Up to 4 members per team. Team composition is locked at registration. Cross-team transfers, replacements, or additions after commencement of the hackathon are strictly prohibited.
Project Requirements & Submission: Develop a functional project exclusively within the 24-hour hackathon window. The final project must be presented live before the judging panel. Each team must prepare a structured demo or presentation deck for evaluation. All development work must occur on-site during the hackathon. Projects must be built entirely on-site after the official start. Each team is permitted to submit only one official entry.

Development Tools & Resources: Teams may utilize any programming languages, IDEs, frameworks, or software tools. Open-source libraries and public APIs are allowed with proper attribution. Internet connectivity will be provided by the organizers. All candidates will be solely responsible for their own belongings. No external hardware or IoT devices are allowed unless supplied by the organizers. Organizers shall not provide proprietary datasets or paid APIs. Teams are expected to rely on open and publicly available resources.

Conduct & Disqualification: Maintain professionalism, integrity, and respect. Harassment or abusive behavior of any kind will not be tolerated. All submissions must be original work created during the hackathon. Pre-existing code or assets must be verifiably open-source and appropriately credited. Plagiarism or misconduct will result in disqualification. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to disqualify any team that violates hackathon rules, fails to adhere to submission deadlines, engages in unethical, dishonest, or disruptive behavior, or is involved in any unforeseen situation that warrants disqualification. You are wholly and solely responsible for your belongings. The organizers will not be responsible for any loss.
Logistics & Attendance: Mandatory check-in with government-issued ID is required at the start of the event. Check-in and check-out times will be logged for security and eligibility verification.
