We are The Case Collective and we are starting with a simple belief: that the most valuable learning happens not when you solve a case , but when someone who has lived one walks you through how they actually thought. Genesis is our debut competition, hosted under the banner of Intaglio - IIM Calcutta's annual international business school meet. It is designed to compress the entire arc of real consulting work into a single week: rapid business awareness, ruthless prioritisation of insight, and the ability to hold a room. The format is deliberately unforgiving. You get three slides . Every framework you love, every chart you built, every caveat you want to add has to earn its place. Then you stand in front of a panel and defend it for fifteen minutes. If you have ever been told your analysis was strong but your story was weak, this is the competition to fix that. What you'll take away: A live case problem drawn from a real business context, not a textbook Direct feedback from a panel of senior industry professionals and IIM Calcutta faculty Certificates for all finalists and participants Visibility across the Intaglio network of participating B-schools Stages & Timeline Round 1 — The Qualifier (Online Quiz) Date: 3rd August 2026 Format: Timed online quiz Focus: Business awareness, guesstimates, market sizing, logical reasoning, and current affairs in business and strategy. A short, high-pressure filter. Teams attempt the quiz together on a single login. Top-scoring teams advance to Round 2. Tiebreaker: Total time taken to complete the quiz. Round 2 — Three Slides (Deck Submission) Deadline: 7th August 2026, 11:59 PM IST. Format: PDF submission via Unstop. Constraint: Maximum 3 slides , excluding the cover slide.
