About the Event: Test your memory and logic in this unique solo coding challenge: solve programming problems with your monitor completely switched off. No syntax highlighting, no error messages, no screen - just you, the keyboard, and your ability to think like a compiler.
Event Duration: 1.5 hours (90 minutes)
Participation: Solo event; individual participation only
Problem Set: 8-10 coding problems
Permitted Languages: C, C++, Java, and Python Participants may use different permitted languages for different problems. Rules and Regulations -
General Rules: All participants must carry a valid college ID card and their techFEST'26 registration receipt. Participants must report at the designated venue at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start time and follow instructions given by the organising team. Late reporting may lead to a walkover. The decisions of the organising and judging teams will be final and binding. Any violation of the rules, unauthorised assistance, use of prohibited devices, or misconduct may lead to immediate disqualification. Participants are responsible for their own equipment and personal belongings. Code must be written using Notepad or VS Code only during the Ghost Code phase. No IDEs or other coding tools may be used while the monitor is switched off. All monitors will be switched off by the organising team during the Ghost Code phase. Participants may switch on the monitor only when they are ready to submit or as instructed by the organisers. Participants will use only the computer systems provided by the organisers. Personal laptops and other personal computing devices are not permitted. Copy-pasting code or using pre-written solutions/templates is strictly prohibited. Mobile phones, smartwatches, earbuds, USB drives, books, notes, and other external aids are prohibited. Participants must not communicate with or seek assistance from other participants, spectators, or unauthorised persons. Each problem gets only one submission opportunity. An incorrect submission will be considered incorrect and cannot be resubmitted. No correction or resubmission will be allowed after submission.
Eligibility: Students enrolled in a Diploma program are eligible to participate. Students enrolled in an Undergraduate program up to 1st year are eligible to participate. Participation is open to eligible students irrespective of their branch/discipline, subject to the event registration requirements. All participants must register for the event through Unstop. Participants must provide accurate and valid student details during registration and submission.
