Can India reach a ₹5 trillion economy without rethinking the way we work? As Artificial Intelligence rapidly reshapes industries, productivity and employment, the bigger question is no longer whether AI will change the workplace, but how we prepare people for that change. Green Gambit is a strategy-driven competition built around this very challenge. It brings together Artificial Intelligence, economics, human capital and the future of work, pushing participants to move beyond theoretical understanding and engage with the decisions that will shape India’s AI-led growth. Participants will encounter real-world economic and workplace challenges, analyse competing interests, work with different stakeholder perspectives and develop solutions that are both innovative and economically viable. The competition places equal emphasis on understanding the problem, building a practical strategy and defending it under pressure. The experience goes a step further by introducing changing circumstances that can challenge even the strongest strategy. Participants will have to respond to disruptions, rethink their approach and make decisions that balance productivity, competitiveness, employment and long-term human-capital development. At its core, Green Gambit asks participants to confront one central question: How can India harness AI to accelerate growth without leaving its people behind?
Guidelines: Open to undergraduate students. Teams must consist of 1–3 members. Inter-college and interdisciplinary teams are permitted. The competition will involve both online and on-campus participation. Detailed instructions, timelines and submission requirements will be communicated to shortlisted participants. Participants qualifying for on-campus stages must make their own travel and accommodation arrangements.
Rules: An individual may register with only one team . Team composition cannot be changed after registration unless permitted by the organising committee. Participants must adhere strictly to the prescribed timelines and formats. Use of AI or other external assistance will be restricted wherever specified for a particular activity. Any form of plagiarism, misrepresentation or unfair means may lead to disqualification. The decisions of the judges and organising committee will be final and binding.
