HTCJ Aviation Futures Innovation Challenge
The Next 100 Years of Flight Start Here. Hack The Concrete Jungle (HTCJ) invites developers, engineers, designers, founders, students, researchers, aviation professionals, and entrepreneurs to help shape the future of aviation.
Inspired by the legacy of the Spirit of St. Louis and today's rapidly evolving aerospace industry, this challenge brings together technology, artificial intelligence, mobility, workforce development, and entrepreneurship to solve real-world aviation challenges. Participants will collaborate on innovative solutions across airport operations, aviation safety, logistics, AI, sustainability, workforce development, advanced air mobility, and aerospace innovation. This challenge is designed to connect talent with industry, investors, corporate partners, and future opportunities.
Challenge Tracks Participants are encouraged to create solutions addressing one or more of these areas: * Aviation Operations * Artificial Intelligence * Advanced Air Mobility * Logistics & Supply Chain * Sustainable Aviation * Smart Airports & Infrastructure * Workforce Development * Startup & Commercial Innovation
Projects may include software, mobile apps, AI models, dashboards, hardware prototypes, data platforms, digital twins, business concepts, and research demonstrations.
Submission Requirements Each submission should include a project name, team information, problem statement, solution overview, a demo video (3–5 minutes), GitHub repository (if applicable), presentation deck, photos or screenshots, business impact analysis, and a future roadmap.
Prizes Awards include recognition for breakthroughs in drones, eVTOL, autonomous systems, and future transportation technologies under the "Best Advanced Air Mobility Innovation" category.
Judging Criteria Projects are evaluated based on Innovation, which accounts for 25% of the score.
