Participation Criteria: TechTonic Season 8 is open to 1st-year students pursuing full-time MBA programmes from the following B-Schools: Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi, New Delhi Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Kozhikode Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Mumbai Indian School of Business (ISB) Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), Mumbai Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR), Mumbai Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development (SCMHRD) Xavier School of Management (XLRI), Delhi Xavier School of Management (XLRI), Jamshedpur Rules: 3-member team is mandatory. Only students from the same campus can form a team. Cross-specialisation teams can participate. A student cannot be a part of more than one team. There is no restriction on the number of teams from an Institute. HUL reserves the right to check the validity of the registration information submitted at any point in time. Modification of the team post-registration will not be allowed. Process: The contest will pan across 6 weeks and will take place in the following phases: Virtual Launch Event and Case Study Reveal: HUL will host the launch event for Techtonic Season 8 on 31st July 2026 in virtual mode and release the case study. A Q&A session will also be conducted. Following the above, each team is to perform their research and analysis and come up with a 2-slider presentation (case submission format will be enclosed with the case study). Stage 1: Registration for Techtonic Case, Virtual Launch and Submission Registrations: Interested students can register themselves in teams of 3 through the Unstop website. Synopsis Submission: Teams will have to prepare their solutions and upload a 2-slide PPT solution encompassing an analysis of the problem statement, proposed strategy, and solution, including a working agent prototype by 20th August 2026 . More details would be available in the case document. Case Landing : A live project case will be put up on the Unstop website for all teams on 31st July 2026. Stage 2: Mentorship: The top 5 teams from Stage 1 will continue to work on the previous problem, under the mentorship of an assigned mentor from Unilever. Stage 3: Grand Finale & PPI: Top 5 teams will be invited to the Grand Finale at Unilever Campus Bangalore to present final submissions to a panel of Senior Global Leaders from Unilever Operations. Teams will be required to make a 15-minute presentation {10-minute presentation (5-6 slides and walkthrough of a functional agent demo) + 5-minute Q&A} and compete to be crowned as the National Winner of TechTonic Season 8! National Finalists will be shortlisted for a PPO with Unilever , as part of the esteemed management trainee program, ULIP 2027 The interview schedule will be disclosed later, post the final presentations of TechTonic Season 8. Top 5 teams will be invited to the Grand Finale at Unilever Campus Bangalore to present final submissions to a panel of Senior Global Leaders from Unilever. Top 5 finalist teams might be shortlisted for a PPO with Unilever, as part of the esteemed management trainee program, ULIP 2027. Prizes and Rewards: The winning team from the Grand Finale will be awarded a cash prize of INR 3,75,000/- The First Runners-Up team will be awarded with a cash prize of INR 1,50,000/- The Second Runners-Up team will be awarded with a cash prize of INR 1,00,000/- Top 2 participants from each campus stand a chance to win goodies worth INR 50,000. National Finalists will be shortlisted for Pre-Placement Interviews to join Unilever as ULIP in UniOps. Successful candidates will secure an internship with a stipend of INR 4.4 lakhs. Select candidates will get a chance to receive PPOs from HUL (PPO refers to selection to the ULIP program). Candidates from Top 5 Finalist teams will get a chance to be shortlisted for PPOs to join Unilever as ULIP in GDT. Successful candidates will secure an internship with a stipend of INR 4.4 lakhs.
