IgniteCase – The Spark of Strategy IgniteCase is a business case-solving competition organised by E-Cell, Government College of Engineering, Amravati (GCOEA), as part of E-Sammelan'26. The competition is designed to test participants' analytical thinking, entrepreneurial mindset, logical reasoning and strategic decision-making. Through real-world-inspired business challenges, participants will identify problems, analyse situations and develop innovative, practical and growth-oriented solutions. The competition will be conducted through progressive stages:
Initial Round: Online Qualifier – Case based quiz The opening round will be a timed online assessment featuring business-related questions and case-based MCQs. It will evaluate participants' entrepreneurial awareness, business fundamentals, logical reasoning, analytical ability and decision-making skills. Shortlisted teams will advance to the subsequent stages and will be directed for Offline Finals.

Minutes Question Format: Multiple Choice
Questions (MCQs) Eligibility: Open to students from all colleges and academic backgrounds. Students pursuing MBA, Business Analytics, Engineering, Medical, and other academic programmes are welcome. School Students and students pursuing higher studies are also eligible. Inter-college team participation is allowed.
Minimum team size: 2 members.
Maximum team size: 4 members. A team of 4 members is recommended.
Guidelines and instructions: The online qualifying round will consist of 25 multiple-choice questions based on business awareness, entrepreneurship, logical reasoning, analytical thinking and business case scenarios. The total duration of the quiz will be 30 minutes. Each question will carry 2 marks, making the maximum score 50 marks. Participants must attempt the quiz within the given time limit. Each team must submit only one response through its registered team account. Team members may discuss and collaborate while attempting the quiz, but the submission must be made by the registered team representative. Participants are advised to ensure a stable internet connection before starting the quiz. Once the quiz begins, the timer will continue running. Participants should manage their time accordingly. Submissions made after the deadline or outside the prescribed platform will not be considered. Any form of unfair practice, impersonation or misuse of the competition platform may result in disqualification.
Selection Criteria: Teams will be evaluated based on their total scores. In case of a tie, the time taken to complete the quiz may be considered as a tie-breaker, if supported by the platform. Shortlisted teams will be informed about the subsequent Guesstimate Challenge through their registered email addresses. The final selection for the on-campus stages will be based on the performance in subsequent rounds and the announced selection criteria.
