InterVarsity is more than just a debate, it’s a battle of wits and words. Conducted in the British Parliamentary style, this flagship event of Atharv Ranbhoomi '26 pits four teams against each other: two government teams proposing the motion, and two opposition teams challenging it.
About the Event: Step into the chamber and engage in debates that test your logical reasoning, persuasive argumentation, and rhetorical finesse. Every speech is an opportunity to convert, compel, and captivate. As Emerson said, “Speech is power. Speech is to persuade, to convert, to compel.” Judges evaluate you not just on what you say, but on how you say it, rewarding sharp content, impactful style, and smart strategy. From formulating powerful arguments to dismantling your opponents' cases, InterVarsity will challenge and refine your critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills. Your mission? Turn words into weapons. Build unassailable arguments. Dismantle your rivals' cases with flair. Leave judges and audiences awestruck. This isn’t just a debate. It’s a test of your ability to command the room and conquer with your voice.
