Cardboard & Scrap Wood Functional Furniture Create usable and reasonably strong chairs, tables, or shelves using cardboard and wooden scrap materials. Packaging Waste Reduction Develop low-cost reusable or biodegradable packaging solutions using natural fibers, recycled paper, or textile scraps for local products. Educational Kits from Cardboard & Scrap Design engaging and low-cost educational or science kits for children using cardboard and other scrap materials. Old Solar Panel / Battery to Low-Cost Street Light Make a functional low-cost street light using discarded solar panels and batteries suitable for rural areas. Portable Disposable Dustbin for Travelers Design a low-cost portable dustbin that rail or bus travelers can use for 1–3 days and then dispose of. Engineering Innovation: Waste to Resources Open Theme – Students can showcase any innovative solution related to Sustainable Development Goals, Engineering, Innovation, and Sustainability using waste or scrap materials. Rules & Regulations Decorative items are prohibited. The Judge's decision is final. Every participant can participate in only one team. Every member must contribute actively to the project. Maintain proper decorum throughout the event. Participants should clarify all doubts before the event. Teams must ensure that their projects are based on the use of waste, scrap, recycled, or upcycled materials. Any form of plagiarism or unfair practice may lead to disqualification. Judgement Criteria Projects will be evaluated based on: Innovation Creativity Presentation Effective use of recycled / upcycled materials The decision of the judging committee will be final. Team Specification Each team can have a maximum of 3 members . Participants from any institute and any academic branch may participate, provided they possess a valid ID card from their respective institute. Every team must select a unique team name that should not be inappropriate, offensive, or conflicting with another team's name. Each team must specify a Team Representative with whom Team techFEST'26 can communicate regarding further information and notices. Each participant can be a member of only one team.
