MINEARENA 1.0 is a national-level 24-hour hackathon organized by Code Commit, the student tech club at Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology (BIET), Davangere, Karnataka. Scheduled for November 12-13, 2026, this event brings together student developers, engineers, designers, and innovators to transform ideas into practical, technology-driven solutions for real-world challenges.
The hackathon focuses on emerging technologies including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, Cloud Computing, IoT, Cybersecurity, Blockchain, and Data Science. Participants are invited to think beyond conventional approaches, collaborate with talented teammates, and build solutions that make a meaningful impact.
Format and Selection Process MINEARENA follows a selection-based format: * Round 1 (Online Screening): Teams submit an initial idea pitch via video call. The submission must include a problem statement, proposed solution, technical approach, innovation details, and team information using a mandatory PPT template. The top 50 teams selected from this round advance to the onsite event. * Round 2 (Onsite Hackathon): Selected teams gather at BIET Campus for a 24-hour continuous building session. Problem statements will be revealed only on-site. Teams must build, demo, and present a working prototype within the timeframe.
Participation Details Registration for Round 1 is free. A registration fee of ₹1,000 per team is required for those qualifying for the offline hackathon in Round 2. All selected team members must be present throughout the event; partial teams are not allowed, and team sizes must remain consistent with Round 1 registration. Participants should bring laptops, chargers, extension boards, ID cards, and personal essentials.
Judging and Prizes Final evaluation is based on the working prototype, innovation, technical depth, and presentation. Judges' decisions are final. Prizes include 1st Prize, 2nd Prize, two Special Recognition awards, and a Consolation prize.
