About Mozilla Human Scale AI Buildathon 2026 Hosted by CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore Bannerghatta Road Campus, in collaboration with Mozilla Foundation, the Mozilla Human Scale AI Buildathon 2026 is a national student innovation programme that brings together young innovators from across India to build AI solutions for real-world community challenges. Rooted in Mozilla's Human Scale AI vision, the Buildathon encourages participants to design technology that is accessible, multilingual and responsive to the diverse needs of society. The Buildathon focuses on creating offline-first, community-centred and low-resource AI solutions that address challenges in education, healthcare, agriculture, accessibility, civic services, worker rights and community development. By bringing together students from diverse academic backgrounds, the programme fosters interdisciplinary collaboration, creative problem-solving and responsible AI practices that prioritise people and communities. More than a competition, the Mozilla Human Scale AI Buildathon serves as a platform for learning, collaboration and innovation. Participants have the opportunity to transform ideas into impactful prototypes while contributing to the development of ethical, open and inclusive AI that can create meaningful change in communities across India. Finals (Bengaluru) Eligibility: Participants must be between 18 and 25 years of age. Undergraduate and Postgraduate students enrolled in any Indian university. Teams must consist of three to five members.
