About the Competition: Welcome to the registration process! Participants are required to form teams of four members and compete in one of two tracks: Engineering/Science/Management or Design . Each team will receive an on-the-spot problem statement and compete for a ₹25 lakh prize pool , with the top 30 teams advancing to the Grand Finale at IES 2026 in New Delhi on 24 October 2026 . Participation at the Pune Qualifier is limited to 100 teams , and registered teams will receive further event details via email. Good to Know: Teams of four are mandatory. The competition is open to students from Management, Design, Engineering, and Science streams. A total of 100 teams will compete at the Pune Qualifier (70 Engineering/Science/Management teams and 30 Design teams). Pune Qualifier registration (per team): ₹4,000 (mandatory), ₹10,000 with Executive Lunch for all team members on both days (optional), or ₹20,000 with Executive Lunch and accommodation (optional). Registration opens on 10 July 2026 . Problem statements will be released on Day 1 (21 August 2026) across Government, Social, Defence, Healthcare, Technical, and Industrial sectors. The same problem statement will continue through to the Delhi Grand Finale. Judging will follow a rubric-based evaluation process, with panels of three industry experts each. A total of 48 industry professionals will evaluate teams across the Qualifier and Grand Finale. The top 30 teams (20 Engineering/Science/Management teams and 10 Design teams) will qualify for the Delhi Grand Finale and will have a two-month refinement period from August to October to develop their ideas into product-grade solutions. Delhi Grand Finale registration (for shortlisted teams, per team): ₹10,000 with Executive Lunch (mandatory) or ₹20,000 with Executive Lunch and accommodation (optional). Registration opens on 1 September 2026 . The competition offers a ₹25 lakh prize pool , including a ₹7 lakh cash prize for the top five teams, along with cash prizes and cloud credits at both the Qualifier and Grand Finale. Every Grand Finale participant will receive an AWS Certification Voucher worth ₹10,000 , and every Grand Finale team will receive Cloud Credits worth up to ₹20,000 .
