Neeti Tantra 2026: A Foreign Policy and National Security Case Competition Neeti Tantra 2026 is a Foreign Policy and National Security Case Competition organised as part of the 2nd Edition of the Policy Hackathon powered by Punjab National Bank and Indian Oil . The competition is designed to test participants on their understanding of foreign policy, national security, contemporary strategic affairs, logical reasoning, and analytical ability , while providing them with an opportunity to engage with real-world policy and strategic challenges. The competition is being conducted with the Raisina House as the Knowledge Partner.
Eligibility: The competition is open to students currently enrolled in Classes XI–XII, undergraduate programmes, and postgraduate programmes at recognised schools, colleges, and universities. Students from all academic disciplines, streams, courses, and specialisations are eligible to participate. Inter-school, inter-college, and interdisciplinary teams are permitted , allowing participants from different institutions, academic backgrounds, and specialisations to form a team. Each team must consist of 1–3 members , and each participant may register as a member of only one team. Evaluation The competition will evaluate participants based on conceptual understanding, current-affairs awareness, logical reasoning, analytical ability, problem identification and structuring, depth of research, strategic thinking, understanding of geopolitical and national-security implications, originality and feasibility of recommendations, and clarity of communication . For the case-analysis round, particular emphasis will be placed on the quality of analysis, evidence used, strategic coherence, and practicality of the proposed policy response. Rules Each team must consist of 1–3 members . Inter-college and inter-specialisation teams are permitted. Each participant may register with only one team. Participants must provide accurate information during registration and may be required to present valid college/university identification. All case submissions must be original and prepared specifically for the competition. Plagiarism, fabrication of information or data, unauthorised collaboration, misrepresentation of sources, or any other form of academic dishonesty will result in immediate disqualification. All external sources, reports, datasets, and research material used in the case submission must be appropriately acknowledged. Teams must strictly follow the prescribed submission format and adhere to all deadlines. Late submissions may not be accepted. Participants must follow all instructions issued by the organising committee during each round. Teams qualifying for a subsequent round will be determined on the basis of the evaluation criteria and scores of the preceding round. Any attempt to obtain, share, or circulate confidential competition material or gain an unfair advantage will result in disqualification. Participants are expected to maintain professional conduct throughout the competition. The use of unauthorised external assistance or unfair means during a live quiz or other timed round is prohibited. The decision of the judging panel and organising committee regarding evaluation, qualification, and disqualification will be final and binding. The organisers reserve the right to modify the schedule, timelines, or operational details of the competition, with due communication to registered participants. By registering for Neeti Tantra 2026, all participants agree to abide by the rules, guidelines, and instructions issued by the organising committee.
