Theme The Ideathon is centered around the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) . Participants are expected to identify a real-world problem and propose an innovative, feasible, and impactful solution that addresses one or more of the 17 SDGs. Eligibility The competition is open to Students, Faculty Members, and Alumni . Students are the primary target participants. Participants from all disciplines are encouraged to apply. Team Composition Each team must consist of 2 to 4 members . At least one female participant is mandatory in every team. Interdisciplinary teams are encouraged. Registration Registration Opens: 3rd August 2026 Registration Closes: 8th August 2026 Shortlisted teams will be notified on or before 10th August 2026 . There is no registration fee during the initial registration process . Qualified/shortlisted teams proceeding to the final round must pay a participation fee of ₹200 per team . Payment details and further instructions will be shared with the qualified teams by the organizing committee. Submission Requirements Shortlisted teams must submit: A PowerPoint Presentation (PPT) explaining their idea. All submissions must be made within the deadline communicated by the organizing committee. Verification Students must carry a valid Student Identity Card . Faculty and Alumni may be required to produce a valid Government-issued Photo ID for verification, if requested by the organizing committee. Presentation Guidelines Each team will be allotted a total of 13 minutes . 8 minutes for presenting the idea. 5 minutes for the Question & Answer session with the judging panel. The official medium of communication is English . Presentation time will be strictly monitored by the organizers. Teams exceeding the allotted time limit will incur a deduction in evaluation marks . General Rules There is no predefined problem statement . Teams are free to identify any real-world problem, provided it is directly related to one or more United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) . The proposed idea must be original , innovative, and should not infringe upon any intellectual property rights. Plagiarism or copied ideas will result in immediate disqualification. Both technology-based and non-technology-based solutions are welcome. Participants may use technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, Cloud Computing, Data Analytics, Robotics, or any other relevant technologies where applicable. The proposed solution should be practical, scalable, sustainable, and capable of creating measurable social, environmental, or economic impact. Teams should be prepared to explain the feasibility, implementation strategy, and expected outcomes of their idea during the presentation and Q&A session. The decision of the judges and the organizing committee shall be final and binding . Judging Criteria Teams will be evaluated based on: Relevance to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Innovation and Creativity Problem Identification and Understanding Feasibility of the Solution Social, Environmental, and Economic Impact Scalability and Sustainability Quality of Presentation and Communication Event Details The Ideathon will be conducted as a half-day event on August 12, 2026. Participants are expected to report to the venue well before their allotted presentation time. Late reporting or failure to comply with the event guidelines may result in disqualification at the discretion of the organizing committee. Important Note Only ideas that are strictly aligned with one or more United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will be considered for evaluation. Failure to comply with the eligibility criteria, team composition requirements, submission guidelines, verification process, or presentation guidelines may lead to disqualification.
