Description: Operation Black Vault is HackHub's flagship Cybersecurity Capture The Flag (CTF) competition, designed to challenge participants through engaging cybersecurity problems inspired by real-world scenarios. A top-secret government research facility, Black Vault , has suffered a sophisticated cyberattack. Critical systems have been compromised, confidential information has been stolen, and only fragments of digital evidence remain. Participants take on the role of an elite Cyber Incident Response Team and investigate the breach by solving cybersecurity challenges. Every solved challenge reveals another piece of the attack, ultimately leading to the recovery of the final master key and identification of the attackers. Whether you're a beginner exploring cybersecurity or an experienced CTF player, the event offers an exciting platform to test your technical knowledge, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Challenge Categories: Web Security Cryptography Digital Forensics Reverse Engineering OSINT Binary Exploitation Miscellaneous Challenges Eligibility: Open to students. Participants from different colleges are welcome. Final participation guidelines, including team size and event format, will be shared before the competition. Competition Format: Round 1 (Online Qualifier) Participants will solve cybersecurity challenges by finding hidden flags. A live scoreboard will be maintained throughout the competition. Rankings will be based on the total points earned by participants or teams. Offline Finale: Top-performing participants/teams from the online qualifier will be invited to compete at IGDTUW in the offline grand finale. Rules: Participants are expected to follow ethical hacking practices throughout the event. Sharing flags, solutions, or exploiting the competition infrastructure is strictly prohibited. Any form of unfair means may lead to disqualification. The organizers reserve the right to make the final decision regarding the competition.
