You will be handed real-world engineering problem statements modeled around complex industrial systems including unit operations, reactor systems and oil and utility pipelines. Event Format: Round 1: Online Qualifier (Deck Submission) Every team will be provided with a detailed case study document. Participants must devise a strategic, data-driven, and innovative solution presented as a professional pitch deck. Submission Details: A maximum of 12 slides (including title and appendix) to be uploaded on Unstop in PDF format. Round 2: Offline Finals Venue: Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Kharagpur. The shortlisted teams will have 10 minutes each to present their consulting frameworks to a panel of industry experts and professors, followed by an intensive Q&A session. Important Dates and Timeline : Registrations Open: July 15, 2026 PS release date: July 20, 2026 Submission Round Ends: August 16, 2026 Result Declaration of Finalists: August 19, 2026 Grand Finale: August 30, 2026 Guidelines Eligibility: Open to all undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) engineering students and MBA students across India. Team Size: 1 - 4 members. Inter-college teams, inter-departmental and cross-year teams are permitted and encouraged. Submission Guidelines: All submissions must be uploaded via Unstop by the Team Leader. No emails will be entertained. 4. Deliverables will be shared with the problem statements. Evaluation criteria will be based on technical accuracy, economic viability and feasibility, data presentation, and pitching and defense performance (for round 2 only). Rules : All solutions must be the original work of the team. Plagiarism will lead to immediate disqualification. Usage of AI is restricted only to images, when properly stated. The presence of any other AI-generated content in the deck will lead to disqualification. The solution must demonstrate technical feasibility. Include preliminary design metrics, mass/energy balance, relevant kinetic/thermodynamic data to back up your claims. All literature values and references must be cited at the bottom of the slide in which they are used. Shortlisted teams must confirm their availability on the campus on the day of the final round within 48 hours of result declaration. Arrangements for an online presentation can be made only under certain circumstances on a case-by-case basis. The decisions of the Fugacity 2026 organizing committee and the judges will be final and binding.
