About the Event: Pitch Tank is a high-intensity business strategy competition at E-Summit '26, organized by Team iConnect, PDUIIC, GJUS&T, Hisar. Participants are assigned a failed or struggling company and are challenged to develop a comprehensive revival strategy, including product innovation, marketing, budgeting, growth planning, crisis management, and an investor pitch. Event Details: Date: 19 August 2026 Time: 2:00 PM onwards Venue: PDUIIC, GJUS&T, Hisar, Haryana Eligibility: Open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled in a recognized university or college. Team participation only (3–4 members) from the same institution is allowed. All team members must be registered participants. Team formation must be completed by verifying and confirming the details of all members during registration. A participant may be a member of only one team. The team leader is responsible for ensuring that all team members meet the eligibility requirements and comply with the event rules. Event Timeline: Round 1: Preliminary Round (Online) Participants will complete an online assessment consisting of aptitude, business, and analytical questions. Date: 9 August 2026 Duration: 15 minutes Result Declaration: 10 August 2026 Based on their performance, shortlisted participants will qualify for the offline rounds. Round 2: Company Revival Lab Each team will receive a Company Card and a Budget Sheet. The Company Card will feature an extinct or struggling company. Teams must analyze the company's background, identify the reasons for its failure, and develop a comprehensive revival strategy. The strategy should address the company's past mistakes and propose practical solutions to rebuild the business while avoiding similar challenges in the future. The Company Card will be shared with the shortlisted teams two days before the event. Budget Sheet Format: Category Budget Allocation Research & Development (R&D) ₹_ Marketing ₹ Technology ₹ Operations ₹_ PR & Branding ₹ Contingency ₹ Round 3: Rapid Fire Challenge Each team will receive a Crisis Card presenting an unexpected business challenge. Teams must revise and adapt their revival strategy within the allotted time based on the assigned crisis. The revised strategy will be evaluated on adaptability, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Possible Crisis Cards: Budget Cut by 50% Investor Exit Product Recall Economic Slowdown Competitor Launch Negative PR Crisis New Government Regulations Note: Teams will be shortlisted for the final round based on their overall performance in Round 2 and Round 3. Round 4: Investor Pitch & Q&A Shortlisted teams will present their final company revival strategy. Each team will be allotted 5 minutes for the pitch, followed by a 3-minute Q&A session with the judges. Changes to team members after registration will not be permitted. Plagiarism or any form of misrepresentation will result in immediate disqualification. Participants must maintain professional and respectful conduct throughout the event. The organizers reserve the right to amend these rules if deemed necessary. Any disputes arising during the event shall be resolved solely at the organizers' discretion. The decisions of the judges and the organizing committee shall be final and binding.
