This event is an ideathon designed for participants to create a project that solves a specific issue and receive feedback. There is no requirement for actual coding; submissions can include prototypes made on Figma or Canva, as well as slide presentations.
The idea should be original and new. While improving upon an existing solution is permitted, you must mention the original concept in your presentation. Participants are allowed to reuse projects they have created before, provided they fit the rules, and may submit their work to other hackathons if those events allow it. Generative AI is allowed, but participants must disclose its usage. If AI is detected and the participant lies about not using it, they will be disqualified.
Participants may work individually or form teams of 2-4 members. The problem being solved can relate to sustainable development goals, daily inconveniences, hidden problems, or ineffective solutions. Projects can be for-profit, non-profit, or open-source.
Submission Requirements: * A 3-5 minute video presenting the project, clearly explaining the issue, the solution, and how it is implemented. Videos over 5 minutes will not be judged. * Any sources or AI models used to create the project. * Links to any assets used in the video, such as working prototypes, public view slide presentations, or GitHub repositories.
Prizes: * Feedback: Personalized, brutally honest feedback toward all projects by an experienced innovator. * 1st Place Certificate: For the best project. * 2nd Place Certificate: For the second-best project. * 3rd Place Certificate: For the third-best project.
Judging Criteria (25% each): * Originality: How original, different, and new the idea is. * Presentation: How well the project is communicated, including grammar, spelling, and confidence. * Visuals: Project design elements such as color palette, font, and UI/UX quality. * Plausibility: How plausible the idea is.
