Prompt Relay: The Treta Yug of Prompts It is an intercollegiate team based competition that combines prompt engineering, visual memory, communication, creativity, strategic decision making, and AI generated imagery. Inspired by the Treta Yug theme and sustainable development concepts, the competition challenges participants to transform ideas into precise and creative AI ready prompts while working under time constraints.
Eligibility: Participation is open to college students. Each team must consist of exactly 3 members. Intercollege teams are permitted. All participants must carry a valid Student ID Card. A participant cannot be part of more than one team, and team composition will remain final after registration.
Competition Process and Format: The competition consists of three stages. Stage 1 is an online Prompt Upgrade Challenge where teams decode five Treta Yug themed riddles, identify hidden keywords, integrate them with Sustainable Development Goal themes, and create a detailed AI image generation prompt along with the generated image. The top 30 teams will qualify for Stage 2. Stage 2 is an offline Prompt Relay Challenge conducted at the designated venue. Each team works through three sequential roles: Player 1, the Observer, views the reference image and creates a base prompt; Player 2, the Interpreter, receives only a verbal description and enhances the prompt; Player 3, the Finalizer, receives Player 2’s verbal explanation, creates the final prompt, and generates the AI image. Players cannot view the original image outside their designated observation stage, and information must be transferred verbally between players. The top 6 teams will advance to Stage 3 , the Prompt Duel. Teams compete head to head through a sequence of Decode, Observe, and Prompt challenges. After solving a puzzle, teams receive a reference image for a limited observation period and must recreate it using an AI generated prompt. A strategic bidding phase allows teams to use Bid Credits to obtain advantages or impose disadvantages on their opponents.
Rules: All prompts must be created originally during the competition. Pre written prompts, external content, unauthorized sources, or attempts to bypass the relay structure are prohibited. Participants must follow the assigned sequence and time limits strictly. Communication between players must follow the prescribed relay structure, and collaboration between competing teams is not permitted. Challenge images, prompts, and related content must remain confidential until the competition concludes. Any violation of the rules, unauthorized communication, manipulation of results, or disruption of the competition may lead to penalty points or disqualification.
Evaluation: Teams will be evaluated on riddle interpretation, prompt quality, visual accuracy, creativity, storytelling, communication, strategic decision making, and similarity between the generated output and the reference image. Judging decisions made by the evaluation team will be final and binding. Participants are expected to maintain professional and respectful conduct throughout the competition and comply with all instructions issued by the organizers.
