About the Competition: Promptathon 2026 – Think Better. Prompt Smarter. Organized by the YCCE ACM Student Chapter under COMPUFEST 2K26, PROMPTATHON 2026 is a prompt engineering competition designed to test participants' creativity, logical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to build AI-driven solutions using Generative AI. Participants will receive real-world problem statements and use AI tools to design innovative solutions. Whether it's building AI assistants, automating workflows, creating business solutions, or developing Agentic AI ecosystems, this competition challenges participants to think beyond coding and become AI problem solvers. Students from any branch, specialization, and year are eligible. Beginners as well as experienced AI users are welcome. Individual participation only. Competition Structure: Round 1: AI Prompt Engineering Challenge Duration: 3 hours. Each participant will receive one real-world problem statement. Analyze the given problem. Design effective prompts. Use Generative AI tools to create an innovative solution. Refine prompts iteratively for better results. Present the final solution along with the prompt strategy and reasoning. Domains: Agentic AI Systems Business Automation Healthcare Education Finance Productivity Customer Support Research Smart Applications Creative AI Solutions Note: The problem statements are designed so that students from any branch or background, including Engineering, Management, Commerce, Arts, Science, Pharmacy, and Architecture, can participate and compete on equal footing. The competition focuses on problem-solving, creativity, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted solution development rather than prior technical expertise. Rules: Individual participation only. Participants must bring their own laptop with internet connectivity. Internet usage is allowed. Participants may use approved Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, and Copilot. The allotted problem statement cannot be changed. All submissions must be completed within the allotted time. Late submissions will not be accepted. Plagiarism or copying another participant's work will result in immediate disqualification. The judges' decision will be final and binding. Participants must maintain proper discipline throughout the event. Organizers reserve the right to modify the event rules if necessary.
