Pumpkin Playground is a space for students to explore and create a project of their interest. Whether it is the most useless project ever or the next big million-dollar product, this spooky season ACM encourages participants to create something they find enjoyable and fun, no matter how big or small. It is also an opportunity for those who have never built anything before to explore and build something for the first time.
Requirements - Submissions must be made by Thursday, November 05 at 11:59 PM PST. - Participants MUST be California State University, Long Beach students to be eligible for judging and prizes. - A community vote will be conducted via Google Form shortly after the event concludes.
Judging Criteria Projects will be evaluated based on: - Creativity: Not just a boring spinoff of existing projects; if it is a spinoff, it must have unique twists you wouldn't expect. - Funny-ness: Is this the funniest thing anyone's ever seen? - Usefulness: Is the project practical or useful? - Design: Is the interface clean, intuitive, and easy to navigate?
Prizes - Everyone: Stellar projects will be showcased on ACM's Discord, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other social media channels. - Winner (Most Popular): $30 Cash Prize. - Most Useful (Most Popular): $20 Amazon Gift Card. - Fall Themed (Most Popular): A mystery Fall-themed gift basket including various candies, treats, and goodies.
