Welcome to Quiz Bowl, the high-energy academic quiz show of Fugacity 2026! It's fast, it’s loud, and it’s intellectually brutal. From deep-dive thermodynamics and chemical reaction engineering to transport phenomena, industrial history, and lateral process trivia—this event is designed to test your reflexes under fire. The Rounds Round 1: The Online Qualifier (Unstop) A rapid-fire, timed MCQ quiz on Unstop. No negative marking, but the system tracks your accuracy and speed down to the millisecond. Only the team leader attempts the test. Round 2: The Grand Stage Finale (Offline) The top teams face off on-stage in front of a live audience and our quizmaster panel. Venue: Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Kharagpur. Important Dates and Timeline Registrations Open: July 15, 2026 Online Qualifier (Round 1): August 16, 2026 Finalists Declaration: August 19, 2026 Grand Stage Finale (Round 2): August 30, 2026 Eligibility & Rules Eligibility: Open to students pursuing Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Petroleum, Biotechnology, Energy, and related technical domains. Team Configuration: Exactly 4 members. Inter-departmental and inter-college teams are permitted. Strict Decorum: Any form of online search or tab switching during the online prelims will trigger automatic proctor flags, leading to immediate disqualification. On-Stage Rules: Buzzer timing, scoring weightages, and passing metrics for the finals will be briefed live by the Quizmaster before the stage round commences. Attendees coming from outside Kharagpur must organize and fund their own transit and lodging. Prizes and Recognition Winners and Runners-up will receive Merit Certificates + Cash Prizes.
