Project Vishisht, the health and hygiene initiative of NSS Kalindi College , presents this innovation challenge on 24 September 2026 to celebrate the 57th NSS Day . Identify a real-life problem related to health, hygiene or the environment and propose a creative, practical solution. Participate individually or with your team and compete for a total prize pool worth ₹15,000, including cash prizes and gifts! Who Can Participate? Open to college students. Participate individually or in a team of up to 3 members . Each person can participate in only one of the three NSS Day competitions . What Do You Need to Prepare? 1. Choose a Problem Identify a real-life issue related to health, hygiene or the environment. Explain what the problem is, who it affects and why it matters. You may focus on one, two or all three areas. 2. Develop a Solution Suggest a solution that could realistically work. It could be a product, service or another useful idea. Explain how it would address the problem and who would benefit. 3. Create a One-Minute Reel — Compulsory Prepare a one-minute reel before the competition to show your idea, product, service or solution. Make it clear and easy to understand. 4. Prepare a Five-Minute Pitch — Compulsory
Prepare a presentation explaining: The problem you have identified Your proposed solution How it would work in real life Its expected impact You can use a PPT, charts, posters, dashboards, prototypes, models, a verbal presentation or another creative medium . What Happens on the Competition Day? Each individual or team will receive 5+1 minutes in total: 5 minutes to deliver the pitch 1 minute to show the pre-prepared reel Both parts are compulsory. Come prepared with your reel and all presentation materials. Rules and Guidelines Participate individually or in a team of no more than 3 members. Your entry must address health, hygiene or the environment. The reel must be prepared in advance. You will not get time to create or edit it during the competition. Keep your pitch within 5 minutes and your reel within 1 minute . Your idea and reel must be your own work. Copied or plagiarised entries will be disqualified. Follow the organisers’ instructions. The judges’ decision will be final. Judging Criteria Entries will be assessed on:
Creativity and innovation: How original and thoughtful your idea is
Practicality and feasibility: Whether your solution can realistically work
Problem identification: How clearly you explain a relevant issue
Potential impact: How your solution could help people or the environment
Presentation and pitch: How clearly and effectively you communicate your idea Judges Faculty members from the Commerce Department will judge the competition. Rewards Total prize pool worth ₹15,000, including cash prizes and gifts.
