The RenderJuice Programmatic Rendering Contest challenges participants to build a 5–30 second Blender animation centered around the theme of Speed. Entries may be created by hand or through automation using Blender Python, Geometry Nodes, simulations, and other procedural tools. The contest features nine award categories with a total prize pool of $1,500 in cash and $3,500 in RenderJuice credits.
Themes and Tracks Racing, rapid transformation, machines, particles, creatures, time pressure, and abstract motion all qualify as interpretations of speed. The contest includes a dedicated Programmatic Track for entries that build procedural systems or automate production. Code-driven and procedural entries are eligible for the "Best Procedural & Programmatic Animation" award, and every accepted entry has the potential to win a Major Award.
Eligibility and Participation Individuals and teams may enter, though each person can appear on only one entry. Participants may use AI-generated or third-party assets provided they hold the necessary rights and disclose their use. To participate, entrants must create a free RenderJuice account, join the RenderJuice Discord, and submit their work via the #contest-submissions channel before the deadline (October 31, 2026).
