About the Event Unleash your engineering and sporting spirit in Robo Soccer – Super Strikers Edition, a thrilling 1v1 robotic showdown that blends precision, strategy, and speed. Build your soccer-playing robot to dribble, defend and score using nothing but raw control and intelligent mechanics – all inside a custom battle pitch designed for action. Gameplay Restrictions: Bots must use pushing, dragging or shooting mechanisms to move the ball. Grabbing or clamping the ball is strictly prohibited. Only standard tennis/sponge balls will be used (approximately 6.7 cm diameter).
Power System: Bots must be powered by an onboard electric supply only. Voltage must not exceed 18 V across any two points. All connections must be properly insulated and secured. Bot Capabilities & Expectations Efficient ball tracking using cameras/sensors (if autonomous). Fast and smooth directional control for dribbling and defending. A goal-oriented shooting mechanism with reasonable force. Collision handling without compromising movement. Reliable manual or autonomous control during gameplay. Arena & Match Format
Game Arena: Rectangular field with marked goal zones and clear boundaries. Arena size will be shared during the pre-event briefing.
Match Format: 1 vs 1 format; match duration: 4 minutes (2 halves of 2 minutes each).
No kickoff: bots start simultaneously, with the ball placed in the centre.
Controls: Bots may be manually operated or fully autonomous. Wireless controllers must operate on interference-free frequencies (e.g., 2.4 GHz). Scoring and Judging Criteria

Team size: 3–5 members Only 1 bot per team is allowed. At least 1 operator and 1 handler must be designated. Safety & Fair Play Guidelines Bot design must be safe for handlers, referees and other bots. No sharp edges, exposed wiring or unstable parts. All bots must pass pre-match inspection. Unsporting behaviour will result in immediate disqualification. Note Teams should bring different drivers for different events to avoid availability issues when two events run simultaneously. Decisions of the coordinator are final and binding. All participants/teams must report at the scheduled event time; failure to report on time will result in disqualification. Changes in rules/specifications might take place in the future. Rules and Regulations – General Rules All participants must carry a valid college ID card and their techFEST'26 registration receipt. Reporting time will be communicated to registered teams; late reporting may lead to a walkover. The decision of the judges and organisers will be final and binding in all matters. Any form of misconduct, plagiarism or use of unfair means will lead to immediate disqualification. Participants are responsible for their own equipment and personal belongings. Organisers reserve the right to modify any rule at any time; updates will be announced at the venue.
