SMART MOVE HACKATHON is a 24-hour innovation-focused hackathon conducted by ECE–EE (VLSI D&T), where participants will develop innovative hardware and technology-driven solutions to address real-world challenges and build a smarter, more sustainable future. Participants will have the opportunity to transform their ideas into working prototypes, demonstrate their technical skills, and present their solutions to a panel of judges.
Competition Structure: Phase 1 – Idea
Submission & Screening: Teams must submit a project proposal using the prescribed PPT format covering the problem statement, proposed solution, technical approach, feasibility, impact, and prototype development plan. The Phase 1 submission will be reviewed and shortlisted teams will be announced on 25 September 2026. Shortlisted teams will receive selection confirmation and further instructions through their registered email address. Only shortlisted teams will proceed to the Phase 2 Offline Grand Finale. Grand Finale: Shortlisted teams will participate in the Offline Campus Round and develop their proposed solution during the 24-hour hackathon.

Themes: SMARTMOVE HACKATHON – AI-Enabled Smart & Sustainable
Urban Mobility: Develop intelligent and sustainable solutions addressing urban transportation and mobility challenges such as traffic congestion, inefficient public transportation, road safety, last-mile connectivity, smart parking, logistics, and sustainable mobility. Participants are encouraged to use technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, IoT, Computer Vision, Real-Time Analytics, Connected Systems, Intelligent Traffic Management, and Electric Mobility.
Suggested problem areas include: Real-Time Traffic Monitoring. AI-Based Traffic Prediction. Intelligent Traffic Signal Control. Smart Route Optimization. Public Transportation Optimization. Emergency Vehicle Priority. Traffic Incident & Road Safety. Smart EV Mobility. Smart Mobility Dashboard. Solutions should aim to reduce congestion, travel time, waiting time, fuel consumption, and emissions while improving road safety, emergency response, and transportation efficiency.
Open Innovation: Present an innovative hardware and software solution to solve a real-world problem in any domain. Participants are free to identify a problem and propose their own solution. Innovative, technically feasible, scalable, and socially impactful solutions are encouraged.

Team Eligibility: Each team must consist of 3–4 members. Inter-college teams are allowed. Inter-department and inter-specialization teams are allowed. Students from different academic backgrounds are encouraged to collaborate. Teams must provide accurate participant and institution details during registration. Only shortlisted teams will be eligible to participate in the Grand Finale.

Finalist Requirements: Participate in the Offline Grand Finale. Bring all required hardware and components for prototype development. Develop and demonstrate the proposed solution.
