About Startup Spotlight Startup Spotlight is a premier startup idea pitching competition that empowers university and college students to transform innovative ideas into impactful ventures. Participants will pitch their startup ideas before an expert jury, gain valuable feedback, and compete for recognition, exciting prizes, and entrepreneurial opportunities. Whether you're an aspiring entrepreneur, innovator, or problem solver, Startup Spotlight is your opportunity to Pitch. Inspire. Innovate. Eligibility Open to all university/college students from any discipline. Participation: Solo or team of up to 4 members Teams must be from the same institution A participant cannot be a member of more than one team All participants must register and verify their details Themes ( Around GLOBALISATION) The competition is open to startup ideas from any domain. Sample categories include: Health & Wellness Education & Learning Tech Agriculture & Sustainability FinTech & Smart Economy AI/ML/IoT Applications Social Impact Solutions Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Smart Cities & Rural Innovation Participants are encouraged to innovate beyond these categories. Event Structure Round 1: Online Submission (PPT) Participants must submit their startup ideas in the form of a presentation deck (maximum 10 slides) outlining the key aspects of the proposed solution. All submissions must be original and unpublished work of the participants. Any form of plagiarism or intellectual property infringement will result in immediate disqualification. Participants must strictly adhere to the prescribed PPT format. Last Date of Submission: 31 July 2026 Round 2: Online Presentation Shortlisted teams from Round 1 will present their startup ideas before the evaluation panel through an online presentation. Based on the evaluation, selected teams will qualify for the Final Presentation Round. Date: 7 August 2026 Result Declaration: 8 August 2026 Round 3: Final Presentation Round (Offline) Teams shortlisted from Round 2 will be invited to present their startup ideas before the expert jury at the Final Presentation Round. Each presentation will be followed by a Question & Answer (Q&A) session with the judges. Date: 20 August 2026 Evaluation Criteria Submissions will be evaluated by an expert panel based on the following criteria: Relevance to the problem statement. Innovation and originality of the proposed solution. Feasibility and practicality of the proposed solution. Clarity, structure, and effectiveness of the presentation. Potential impact, scalability, and overall value of the solution. Awards & Recognition Winners will be felicitated during the Prize Distribution & Closing Ceremony . Winning teams will receive Certificates of Achievement, Trophies, and other rewards as announced by the organizers. All registered participants will receive an E-Certificate of Participation.
