Overview: •
Price Chits: Both participants receive a private chit specifying their monetary limit or value. The monetary value written on the chit is the only private information in the round. Participants are not required to reveal their chit value immediately. •
Negotiation Process: Participants negotiate privately to reach a single, mutually agreed final price. Multiple offers and counteroffers can be made. Both sides must accept the agreed price for the deal to be successful. • Private
Discussion Period: If negotiations stall, participants may be given up to 2 minutes in a designated private discussion area to negotiate freely and strategically reveal chit values if they choose. •
Failure to Agree: If no common price is reached, both participants are eliminated from that round. Tie-Breaker Mechanism (Exact
Tie Rule): • If the final agreed price lies exactly halfway between both recorded chit positions, the win is awarded to the participant who first proposed that exact final price during the negotiation.
