Problem Statement How might AI help multi-disciplinary teams make sense of information, present ideas, align on decisions, and review work more effectively?
Event Schedule July 29th - Mandatory Hackathon Information Night (insider tips on judging given here!)
July 31st - Arrive at 9.50am for a SHARP 10am Start @ MCIC on UNSW Campus - 10 - 11:30am: Opening Address and Problem Statement Reveal by Mistral and Atlassian - 12pm: Hacking!
August 1st - 12pm: Submissions due and arrival on campus @ MCIC - 12 - 2pm: Free catered lunch at UNSW as Final 7 are decided - 2 - 3:30pm: Final 7 pitching live to everyone (10 mins each) - 4pm: Winners, Runners Up and 3rd Place announced
Requirements The submission format is as follows - 3 minutes MAXIMUM demo video of your finished product (for every 5 seconds above 3 mins, we will deduct 10% of your score) - The final presentation (if your team is chosen to be top 7) will also be 3 minutes. You can choose to just show your video or alter your presentation to be a live pitch.
Further: - Your project has to be built on Mistral's APIs, not other model providers. Projects that do are ineligible for prizes no matter how well they score. Feel free to ask staff if you're unsure what is fine and what isn't.

Judging Criteria - Value + Human Insight (30%): Whether you understand the person you're building for, whether what you've made would genuinely matter to them, and whether it answers the problem statement directly rather than an easier one sitting next to it. - Technical Execution (30%): The depth of what you actually built. Is it more than something you could vibe-code in a couple of prompts? - Creativity + Design (20%): How novel your idea is and how well it's designed. Are you doing something fresh, and is it genuinely pleasant to use? - Feasibility + Scalability (20%): Whether it could work in the real world now, and grow from there across other domains, contexts and teams rather than just the one you demoed.
