Best Manager is a flagship on campus management competition at Barcode, designed to test the qualities that define an effective manager and future corporate leader. Participants will be challenged across strategic thinking, analytical reasoning, leadership, communication, decision making, problem solving, creativity, and adaptability. This year, Best Manager will be conducted as an action packed one day on campus competition, featuring multiple challenging rounds that test different aspects of managerial and business acumen. The competition is not just about what you know, but how you think, respond, and make decisions when faced with real world business challenges.
Eligibility: Open to all Undergraduate and Postgraduate students across India.
Participation: Individual participation only.
Mode: On campus.
Duration: One day.
Venue: SIMS Pune / Barcode. The competition will consist of multiple rounds, with participants progressing based on their performance. Each round will assess different managerial, analytical, strategic, interpersonal, or decision making skills. Round specific instructions, time limits, and evaluation criteria will be shared by the organizers before each round. Participants must report at the venue within the stipulated reporting time. A valid college or student ID must be carried for verification. Students from different colleges and academic specializations can participate individually. Participants must follow all instructions provided by the organizing committee.
Format: Best Manager will be conducted as a one day, multi round on campus competition. Participants will progress through various stages based on their performance.
The competition will evaluate: Strategic thinking and business acumen Analytical and data driven decision making Leadership and problem solving Communication and interpersonal skills Creativity and innovation Negotiation and resource management Adaptability and presence of mind Decision making under pressure The competition will conclude with the selection of participants who demonstrate strong overall managerial capabilities.
Rules: Participation is strictly individual. Participants must follow the instructions provided for each round. Late reporting may result in disqualification or denial of participation in a round. Participants must carry a valid student or college ID. Cheating, malpractice, plagiarism, unauthorized assistance, or any unfair means will result in immediate disqualification. Participants must maintain professional conduct throughout the competition. Electronic devices may be restricted during specific rounds. The organizers reserve the right to make necessary changes to the schedule or format in case of unforeseen circumstances. The decision of the organizing committee and judges will be final and binding.
