UnivaBio is a global student competition open to students aged 13+, hosted collaboratively by BioCataalysis and UnivaDev. The event supports innovation at the intersection of healthcare and technology.
Theme: Artificial Intelligence for Human Health
This event brings together young innovators from around the world to explore AI technology's role in human health. Working individually or in teams, participants will design and build a meaningful technical product that helps people detect illness earlier, understand it better, or live with it more easily.
Your project can take almost any form: an app, a website, a simulation, a system, or an algorithm. Examples include an AI EdTech app teaching about specific health concepts, a classification model trained on imaging datasets, or an innovation with significant medical implications.
Participants are encouraged to use AI assistants while building. The goal is to keep the technical barrier low enough that beginners with ambitious ideas can ship them. What matters most is that you understand what you built and can explain it; be prepared to walk judges through your own code.
Submission Requirements - Project: A website, app, or other coding prototypes with user interaction capabilities. - Demo Video: A video explaining the project's purpose, showcasing features, and demonstrating user interaction. - One Page Project Description: A PDF describing the project purpose and key features. - Code Documentation: A PDF document showcasing all code developed towards the creation of the project (or a GitHub repository).
