Overview: VoltForge 2026 is a premier line-following car competition organized by OWASP SIES GST, the official student committee of the Computer Science and Engineering – Internet of Things (CSE-IoT) Branch at SIES Graduate School of Technology. The event brings together hardware enthusiasts, robotics innovators, and problem-solvers to design, build, and test autonomous line-following robots. More than just a race, VoltForge is a real-world testing ground for aspiring engineers. Participants will get the opportunity to experiment with circuits, sensor calibration, motor control, and autonomous navigation while applying their theoretical knowledge to practical hardware challenges. From fine-tuning motor control and PID parameters to optimizing line-acquisition logic and sensor response, VoltForge challenges participants to push their technical boundaries, troubleshoot hardware on the spot, and compete against some of the most innovative builds.
Hardware Specifications & Guidelines: Bring Your Own
Setup (BYOH): Participants must carry their complete hardware setup, including development boards, sensors, chassis, batteries, tools, and laptop equipment.
DIY & Assembly Policy: Teams are permitted and encouraged to bring their own custom-built, fully assembled, and ready-to-run bots to the event. However, commercially purchased, factory-assembled line-following cars are strictly prohibited. Any team found utilizing a commercial, ready-to-run bot will face immediate disqualification.
Permitted Kits: Standard educational DIY assembly kits and modular components, such as microcontrollers and motor drivers, are allowed.
Pre-Built Requirement: All custom vehicles must be physically built prior to the competition day.
Originality: All hardware and code must be the original work of the registered team and must operate fully autonomously during competitive runs. Optional Hardware

Track Access: Only one team lead or operator may enter the active track zone during an official run.
Power Safety: Ensure all onboard batteries (Li-Ion/Li-Po) are secure, insulated, and inspected before bench testing.
Direct Entry: Teams skipping the workshop and joining only for the competition must report directly for preliminary technical inspection on the morning of Stage 2.
