Wrong Idea Wins is an engaging non-technical event that challenges participants to think quickly, creatively, and differently. The event combines humour, spontaneous thinking, teamwork, and presentation skills through a series of fun and unexpected challenges. Participants will be encouraged to break conventional thinking, turn unusual situations into creative responses, and showcase their imagination under time pressure. With a perfect blend of entertainment and creativity, Wrong Idea Wins offers an exciting platform for participants to demonstrate their presence of mind and innovative thinking in a fun competitive environment. Eligibility Open to all college students. Participants can register in teams of 3 members. Participants from any branch or academic background are eligible. Each participant can be a member of only one team. Participants must complete registration before the specified deadline. Rules & Process The event consists of two rounds. Round 1 is a rapid-fire challenge where teams must provide creative and incorrect answers to the questions within the given time. Teams will be evaluated on creativity, spontaneity, quick thinking, and entertainment value. The shortlisted teams from Round 1 will advance to Round 2. In Round 2, finalist teams will receive an Object Card and a Problem Card. Teams must combine both cards to create an unusual invention and present their idea through a short pitch. Round 2 will be evaluated on creativity, originality, teamwork, presentation, and the ability to develop an idea within the given time. Participants must follow the instructions and time limits given by the organisers. Any form of cheating, misconduct, or unfair practice may result in disqualification. The decision of the organisers and judges will be final.
