About the Competition SIBM Nagpur proudly presents its National-Level Management & Analytics Case Competition , designed to challenge the strategic thinking, analytical capabilities, and decision-making skills of future business leaders. The competition provides participants with an opportunity to solve real-world business challenges through a structured three-stage process involving a management quiz, strategic case analysis, and a data-driven business presentation. Participants will gain hands-on exposure to solving complex business problems, applying analytical techniques, and presenting actionable recommendations before an esteemed panel of academicians and industry experts. In addition to exciting cash prizes and national recognition, participants may also have the opportunity to secure: Pre-Placement Interviews (PPIs) for Summer Internships (SIP) for eligible first-year MBA/PGDM students from recoginised organization. Pre-Placement Interviews (PPIs) for Final Placements for eligible second-year MBA/PGDM students from recoginised organization. The above opportunities are subject to the recruitment policies and final discretion of the participating corporate partner(s). Eligibility The competition is open to students currently pursuing MBA/PGDM programs from recognized institutes across India. Teams must consist of 2–3 members . Participants from the same institute are encouraged to participate. Inter-specialization teams are allowed. Inter-college teams are not allowed. A participant can be a member of only one team . All team members must complete the registration before the registration deadline. Competition Format Stage 1 – Business IQ Challenge Mode: Online (via Unstop) Duration: 20 Minutes Number of Questions: 25 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) Topics Covered: Management Logical & Analytical Reasoning Only the shortlisted teams will qualify for Stage 2. Stage 2 – Strategy Lab (Case Study Submission) The case study will be released to the shortlisted teams after the completion of Stage 1. Teams are required to analyze the business problem and develop a comprehensive solution. Submission Format: Presentation (PPT/PDF) Maximum Slides: 4-5 slides (excluding appendix, if any) Submission Mode: Online via Unstop Evaluation will be based on: Problem Understanding Data-driven Analysis Strategic Thinking Feasibility of Recommendations Innovation The top-performing teams will qualify for the Grand Finale. Stage 3 – Analytics Arena (Offline) Venue: Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Nagpur The shortlisted finalist teams will receive a new business case study along with the associated dataset prior to the Grand Finale. Teams will be required to analyze the business problem, derive actionable insights from the data, and develop a comprehensive, data-driven solution. Each team will be provided with: A new business case study A raw dataset related to the case Teams will be required to: Clean and preprocess the dataset using appropriate analytical tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python, or any other approved tool). Analyze the data to identify key insights, trends, and business challenges. Develop data-driven recommendations to address the case problem. Create an interactive dashboard to effectively visualize the analysis. Present their findings through a professional presentation supported by the dashboard. Any form of plagiarism or copied content will result in immediate disqualification. Participants are expected to maintain the highest standards of academic integrity. Teams must submit their presentations before the specified deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted. Teams qualifying for the final round must ensure their availability for the offline presentation at SIBM Nagpur. The decision of the jury and organizing committee shall be final and binding. The organizing committee reserves the right to modify the competition timeline, rules, or evaluation process in case of unforeseen circumstances.
